The wait is almost over, and we couldn’t be more excited to announce the launch of Skyblock Season 17 on ExodusMC! Set to release this Saturday, July 18th, 2026, at 3 PM EST, this brand new season is packed with exciting new content, major gameplay improvements, and highly requested features designed to deliver our best Skyblock experience yet.
Following another incredible season, we've focused on expanding progression, improving long-term gameplay, and introducing brand new systems that reward teamwork and competition. Whether you're defending your position at the top or starting a fresh island with friends, there's plenty waiting for you in Season 17.
What’s New in Skyblock Season 17?
Collectables
Collecting just became even more rewarding.
Discover over 20 unique Collectables while farming and mining throughout the world. Each collectable provides valuable progression benefits, and duplicate collectables can be traded with other players, adding an exciting collection and trading aspect to the economy.
Armor System
Skyblock's armor has received a complete overhaul.
Our brand new Armor System introduces Armor Skins, Perks, Enchants, permanent boosters, and much more. Unlock a variety of unique armor sets and customize your playstyle while becoming even more powerful throughout the season.
Hourly Bosses
Prepare to take on powerful new challenges.
Bosses now spawn every hour within the grinding zones, giving players regular opportunities to earn valuable rewards. Collect Boss Skulls and spend them on powerful Boss Upgrades to further increase your rewards and progression.
Island Upgrades
Work together with your island team to unlock permanent progression.
There are six unique Island Upgrades available, each providing permanent boosters that benefit your entire island. Coordinate with your teammates, invest wisely, and maximize your island's long-term potential.
Outposts
One of the most anticipated features has finally arrived!
Introducing the brand new Outposts System. Fight against other islands to capture and control powerful outposts that provide permanent island-wide boosters.
Compete for six unique Outposts:
- Essence Outpost
- Money Outpost
- Tool Level Outpost
- Sparks Outpost
- Enchant Outpost
- Spawner Outpost
Holding these Outposts will give your island a significant competitive advantage throughout the season.

Alongside the major additions, we've included a huge range of improvements and quality-of-life updates:
- Brand new Sparks Currency
- Booster Cookies added
- Relics removed
- Souls removed
- Brand new Sparks Shop featuring static and rotating items with limited purchases
- Sparks Finder enchant added to all tools
- Island Bosses removed
- Generators removed
- Robots removed
- Booster Auto Queue added
- Boosters can now be paused
- Spawner requirements now scale based on island size, allowing smaller teams to compete more fairly
- Help Menu updated to showcase all new features
- Tool Levelling improved
